This was the most cargo in a single month in the Port's 111-year history. Port's previous record (924,225 TEUs) was in November 2017. December 2018 was port's busiest December ever - 903,258 TEUs (15,9% increase over Dec 2017), including imports (468,906 TEUs) and exports (147,965 TEUs). For FY2017, the seaport reported a record year for cargo shipping - 9,343 million TEUs (5,5% increase over 2016). Among the implemented in 2017 technology upgrades was "Port Optimizer" (online portal developed by GE Transportation).

It is approximately a two-hour drive from San Diego, 30-minutes from Long Beach Airport, and under an hour from LAX. The cruise terminal is located on the north side of San Pedro Bay, just West of the Vincent Thomas Bridge. The San Pedro Cruise Terminal has a long history and many people's first images of cruising were formed here when they watched "The Love Boat" depart from here on TV each week. Today, the terminal serves more than 1 million cruise passengers annually making it the largest cruise ship terminal on the west coast of the United States.

Berth 95 at the San Pedro cruise terminal also holds the San Pedro Amtrak station. Note that there are no trains that run through the San Pedro Catalina Terminal station but connecting buses do.

Due to its convenient location on the West Coast, it’s a short flight for anyone on the West Coast of the United States. On the rare occasion, San Pedro sees three ships which can’t dock at these two terminals. Since berth 46 only sees a ship once every seven months, the port creates a makeshift passenger terminal from large tents. A courtesy bus to and from the cruise terminal is available, although not wheelchair accessible. San Pedro Cruise Terminal is easy to get to for guests throughout Southern California as well as Arizona and Southern Nevada.
There is an open lot adjacent to the parking garage to accommodate vehicles with height restrictions. Highway 1 to the Beach line Expressway (S.R. 528) and follow this east to the Port. Exit the airport south to the Central Florida Greenway (Toll Road 417).

Port Canaveral Orlando is located at 445 Challenger Road. There are multiple terminals in Port Canaveral for Celebrity Cruises Ships. Terminal A is the home terminal for all Oasis Class vessels when sailing out of PortMiami. All other ships, please consult your email communication and directional signage once you arrive to PortMiami.
